Tammy has dedicated more than 35 years to the dental industry and continues to be a trusted coach, consultant, and leader in dental practice growth. Alongside her husband, David Duncan, she has helped shape the vision of Practice Management Systems into a respected dental consulting company focused on helping practices improve performance, profitability, and long-term success.
David Duncan, Co-founder of Practice Management Systems, brought his entrepreneurial vision and passion for helping dental practices thrive to life in 2006. Inspired by that vision, Tammy expanded her role as a personal coach, dental consultant, educator, and mentor to dental teams across the country. She also developed the curriculum for the Dental Front Office Course and serves as its lead instructor, helping front office teams strengthen communication, systems, and results.
Together, David and Tammy have combined their experience, leadership, and passion to build a company centered on transforming practices, careers, and lives. Their commitment remains the same today: helping one practice at a time grow stronger through proven systems, practical guidance, and personalized support. Those who know David and Tammy know their partnership is built on faith, family, and a shared dedication to serving others. They have been blessed with two daughters Amanda and Alyssa, 5 grandchildren, and the opportunity to build a successful business side by side.
ALYSSA
DENTAL TEAM TRAINING AND OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Although, Alyssa is no longer serving in the roles of Office Manager and Claims Specialist, but the experience she gained in those positions continues to add tremendous value to her work at Practice Management Systems. Now on board full time with the company, she plays an integral role in supporting our mission and helping train dental teams with practical insight, strong communication, and real-world experience.
With degrees in teaching and business from Oregon State University, Alyssa brings a unique blend of leadership, organization, and encouragement to the company. Influenced by the leadership and vision of David and Tammy, she has developed a deep appreciation for the value of dentistry, the importance of strong systems, and the impact of effective team training. Their mentorship has helped shape her ability to connect with others, inspire growth, and contribute meaningfully to the success of dental practices.
AMANDA
Hygienist
Amanda has always had a heart for helping others, and that care shines through in the way she connects with her patients. A dental hygienist for more than a decade, she began her career in Oregon City, Oregon, after graduating from hygiene school in 2013. She is passionate about building trusting relationships and partnering with patients to help them feel confident in their oral health.
Shortly after graduation, Amanda married, and together with her husband are raising their two children. Three years ago, their family moved to small town just outside Helena Montana, where they have been enjoying this season of life together. While Amanda is not currently working with the family business, there is great hope that she may join the team in the years to come.
